We all love 19 year old Disney star Demi Lovato because she’s both talented and beautiful.

Like her long time BFF Selena Gomez, this half-Hispanic hottie got her start at the age of seven on the Barney show. Half a decade later, Disney plucked her from obscurity for the staring role in a DCOM called Camp rock opposite the Jonas Brothers. Following the success of that movie, which also spawned the sequel Camp Rock 2 Demi would go on to release her first two solo albums before returning to the acting world again. Her new Disney Channel series Sonny with a Chance immediately developed an almost cult like following of “Channy” fans – those who wanted Demi’s character Sonny Monroe to get together with Chad Dylan Cooper (played by Sterling Knight).

Sadly, that was not to be. In the Fall of 2010, following a nasty breakup with Joe Jonas, the pressure became too much for poor Demi and she lashed out at friend and backup dancer Alex Welch, reportedly punching her in the face. This bout of misplaced anger finally made Demi realize that she had a problem and she left the tour to get help. She spent the next few months at the Timberline Knolls treatment facility in Illinois getting help with her emotional and physiological issues.

Today, Demi is making her comeback with the release of her third studio album Unbroken and a small concert tour to promote it. We hope that she decides to resume her acting career as well, but we understand why she is hesitant to do that. It’s just something to look forward to.
